Success4Kids was opened by the Mayor of Blackburn on the 17th October 2006. The purpose of the organisation is to provide additional tuition for children of all abilities between the ages of 6 to 16 so that they can fulfil their educational potential. Teaching is either carried out in a small group (1 to 6 pupils) or on a one-on-one basis (dependent on speficic needs). Individual hourly sessions are attended by children of a similar age and/or ability. The teaching is very focused and individual teaching programmes are closely linked to the Primary Strategy for Literacy and Numeracy. Additional services include entrance exam tuition and GCSE revision. Adult Numeracy and Literacy Classes are also available. Diane Kenyon provides the teaching and has over 30 years of experience including 15 years as a Deputy Head Teacher. Diane holds many qualifications including the 'National Professional Qualification for Headteachers'. The Premises, situated in Blackburn town centre, is very spacious and tastefully decorated. A Reception Room is provided with refreshments for parents who wish to remain and wait for their children. The Price of tuition is £22 per hour.
